When you use Cobloc, we collect information in the following categories:

Account information: Your name, email address, and profile data provided through your authentication provider (Clerk).

Content: Workspaces, projects, pages, blocks, and any files you upload to the platform.

Usage data: How you interact with the product, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.

Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address collected automatically when you access Cobloc.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • •Provide, maintain, and improve the Cobloc service.
  • •Process your transactions and manage your account.
  • •Send you important notifications about changes to the service.
  • •Power AI features when you use AI chat blocks (messages are sent to the selected model provider).
  • •Analyze usage patterns to improve the product experience.
  • •Prevent fraud and ensure the security of our platform.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. AI and Language Models

Cobloc integrates with third-party AI providers through OpenRouter. When you use AI chat blocks:

  • •Your messages are sent to the selected AI model provider (Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI) to generate responses.
  • •We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
  • •AI providers may process your data according to their own privacy policies.
  • •You can choose not to use AI features — they are entirely optional.

4. Third-Party Services

Cobloc relies on the following third-party services to operate:

Clerk: Authentication, user management, and session handling.

Convex: Real-time database, file storage, and backend infrastructure.

OpenRouter: AI model routing for chat features.

Resend: Transactional email delivery for invitations and notifications.

Each service processes only the minimum data necessary to fulfill its function. We maintain contractual agreements with all sub-processors.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

  • •With sub-processors listed above, strictly to provide the service.
  • •With collaborators you explicitly invite to your workspaces, projects, or pages.
  • •When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • •To protect the rights, property, or safety of Cobloc, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period. You can cancel the deletion by logging back in within those 30 days.

Uploaded files associated with deleted accounts are removed from our storage within the same period.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via Clerk, and access controls at the database level through Convex. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • •Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • •Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • •Request deletion of your data.
  • •Export your data in a portable format.
  • •Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • •Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

9. Cookies

Cobloc uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Local storage is used to persist your preferences such as theme, sidebar state, and last visited page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the product or via email. Continued use of Cobloc after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
