Trash

Understand how deleted pages, projects, and blocks are handled — and how to restore or permanently remove them.

Cobloc uses a soft-delete system. When you delete a page, project, or block, it isn't removed immediately — it's moved to the trash where you can restore it or permanently delete it.

Workspace trash

The workspace trash lives in the sidebar. Click the Trash button at the bottom of the sidebar to open the trash panel. It shows all deleted pages and projects in your workspace, separated into two tabs.

  • Pages tab — Shows all deleted pages. Each entry displays the page title, when it was deleted, and how many days remain before auto-deletion.
  • Projects tab — Shows all deleted projects. Deleting a project also soft-deletes all pages inside it.

Trashed items are automatically permanently deleted after 15 days. Restore anything you want to keep before then.

Restoring pages and projects

To restore a deleted item, click the restore icon next to it in the trash panel. The item will be moved back to its original location.

If you restore a page that was inside a deleted project, you'll be given a choice:

  • Restore to project — Restores both the page and its parent project.
  • Restore as standalone — Restores only the page, detaching it from the deleted project.

Restoring a project will also restore all of the pages that were inside it at the time it was deleted.

Permanently deleting

To permanently delete an item, click the delete icon next to it in the trash panel. A confirmation dialog will appear — this action cannot be undone.

Permanently deleting a project will also permanently delete all pages inside it.

Page trash (deleted blocks)

Each canvas page has its own block-level trash. When you delete a block from the canvas, it moves to the page trash rather than being removed immediately.

To access the page trash, open the more options menu (three-dot icon) in the canvas toolbar and select Page trash. A badge shows the count of trashed blocks.

From the page trash panel you can:

  • Restore — Put the block back on the canvas at its original position.
  • Delete permanently — Hold the delete button to confirm permanent removal.

If you accidentally delete a block, open Page trash from the more options menu to quickly restore it.

Trashed page behavior

When you open a page that is currently in the trash, a banner appears at the top indicating it's been deleted. From there you can restore it or permanently delete it. The canvas is read-only while the page is trashed — you cannot add, edit, or move blocks.
